Rhema Now: The Word of the Lord for the 2020s

Rhema Now puts together the words that the Lord has been speaking from before Covid-19 regarding the transition we have just gone through, the decade that we now find ourselves in, and the new era that we will step into in the 2030s.

It speaks with clarity about what is needed for God’s people to know Him, grow strong, and be prepared for the spiritual battle that is ahead at the end of the decade of the 2020s.

The Word of the Lord 2025

2025 will usher us into a season of REPRIEVE — the Hezekiah moment where YHWH is summoning us for a time of consecration, strengthening and preparation so that we will be ready to run with horses.

Jeremiah 12:5 says,

“If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses?”

While I (Kay-Chong) was praying for the USA on 18 November 2024, some days after the Presidential election, the Spirit of the Lord spoke clearly to me:

“This is not a victory. This is also not a time for bravado. In My mercy and goodness, this is a time of reprieve!

Do not mistake My patience for My tolerance of sin, but know that this is a reprieve firstly for My people to turn and respond accordingly.

This is also a reprieve for more than just the USA, but for nations. Surely the worst is to come in accordance with My Biblical narrative for the End of the Age. However, in My mercy, I AM giving time for people to prepare for the times that are to come (Isa. 42:23).

Do not misinterpret nor take this reprieve for granted. Just as I have shown My mercy through Covid-19 as an indictment unto awakening My people to hear, this reprieve is for a time of preparation.

He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

 

The Context for the Hezekiah Moment

These 3 words set the context of the Hezekiah moment:

1. SHIFT
We have witnessed dramatic shifts in every arena since COVID-19. By 2030, we will see an accelerated acceleration unto the eschatological narrative according to Scripture. We are racing towards the crisis that Psalm 2 has foretold, and the birth pangs and unprecedented troubles that Matthew 24 and Daniel 12 have forewarned us about.

2. SHAKE
Surely, we will witness even more intense shakings in the coming decades in all seven aspects described in Haggai 2:6–8. The Church of Jesus Christ will not be shielded from this as it is in the Lord’s zeal that He will remove all things that hinder wholeheartedness and purify us from every mixture (1 Pet. 4:17; Heb. 12:25–29).

3. SHAPE
Much of what we have talked about pertaining to the End of the Age will be taking shape by the coming decade. One of them will be the rise of the Harlot Babylon and also a reset to a one-world economy. I know this is a big statement, but I believe that the decade of the 2030s is setting the stage for the time of the end.

Yet, our God already has a pre-emptive plan: His ultimate heart and strategy is to SHAPE UP His people so that we arise as the John 17 generation:

  • to withstand the coming eschatological storm;
  • to create an eschatological impact;
  • to partner with Jesus for the eschatological revolution.

To understand the Hezekiah moment, we have to know the life of King Hezekiah, what he did, and how he responded to YHWH. (2 Kings 18–20; 2 Chron. 29–32; Isa. 36–39)

King Ahaz, the father of King Hezekiah was an evil king who led Judah into the worship of Baal and apostasy. When King Hezekiah succeeded him, he caused Judah to return to YHWH; he restored temple worship and Passover; he brought reform to Judah.

 

The Threefold Response

This reprieve is a season of God’s mercy and grace where He is giving us time to prepare so that we may have the strength to run with “horses”.

There is a threefold response required in this Hezekiah moment:

1. RETURN
God is bringing us through a time of consecration by fire unto wholeheartedness, holiness, and walking in the fear of God. The Spirit of God specifically highlighted Revelation 3:2–3; 3:18–20 and 2 Corinthians 6:14 – 7:1 for such a time as this.

The only safe place as a believer is to have a real, deep, and authentic walk and history with God.

2. RESTORE
God will specifically restore and bring back true worship in the Church, the “Mo’ed” (especially the Sabbath, Passover and Feast of Tabernacles) to a central place in our relating with God, the fear of the Lord, and most of all, knowing and calling on the name of YHWH.

These are the fundamental pillars of our faith that will strengthen us to stand strong in the midst of coming eschatological storms.

3. REFORM
God will bring forth another reformation in the Church of Jesus Christ so that we will be ready for the coming move of the Spirit unto the eschatological revolution.

In Matthew 9:17, Jesus said, “Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”

We need another reformation for the formation of a new wineskin for the coming new wine!

 
It’s important to note that King Hezekiah became complacent, proud, and also compromised, which resulted in God’s judgment. Yet YHWH gave him a reprieve after he repented. However, he didn’t make full use of the reprieve initially, which nearly resulted in another judgement of God (2 Chron. 32:24–26).

A reprieve does not guarantee change until we respond according to what the Lord has laid down for us. Ephesians 5:15–16 exhorts us to walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. In 2 Peter 1:5 and 10, Peter admonished his disciples to intentionally and diligently “add” to the promises that God has made available by His power.

Three key prayers are critical for us to pray in this moment: Psalm 91, Songs 8:6 (which is the fire of God), and Colossians 1:9–12.

A right, intentional, and aligned response is of absolute necessity! Breakthrough is on the horizon for whoever responds to the Lord in this season of reprieve!

Corporate Discernment Word for 2025

As a House of Prayer, we gather weekly to hear God for what it is He desires to speak to us for the time ahead. As we receive from Him, we corporately discern, interpret, and put the words together at the end of each year. At the end of the year 2024, this is what we believe God is saying for the coming season.

We are transiting into the Kingdom Age where My people are being prepared to become the John 17 generation to resist and overcome the rising darkness especially in light of the coming Harlot Babylon. This is also an invitation to partner with Me as the David generation that requires preparation in order to be My voice to prepare many to understand the times and season.

Now is the time to be established in the core values and character that I insist on, and to have clarity of My narrative, primarily through My very word. Now is not the time to stay status quo but to recognise that many of the old ways of the past seasons no longer work. Obedience to Me, alignment to My will, being led by the Spirit, and moving in the angelic realm are pivotal for the coming season.

Be warned of living in mere form, reputation with no reality, and under false assumptions that we are ready, but without the reality of truth being formed in our beings. Now is the time to strengthen what has become weak as a season of darkness is coming that will cause you to be found wanting.

Young people: it is now the time to get clarity and understanding of My narrative for Israel — for it is not too long ago and not too far away (Zech 13:8). Do not neglect this long and mundane process in this set time that I desire to show favour to Israel.

Be strong and courageous, My End-Time Prayer Movement, for I am bringing you into a season of refining and reshaping unto a divine upgrade so that everything that is not in alignment will be purged and removed. I am bringing forth a new beginning to endue you with weapons of warfare for the increasing spiritual darkness — prayer, intercession, decree, proclamation, petition, thanksgiving, declaration, prophetic, worship, Word, prophetic worship, and sound.

The way to birth this forth is through singing, praying, and declaring forth the new beginning. Truly, it is through the high praises of My people that there will be victory over darkness. My Prayer Movement, now is the time to return to authenticity in your walk with YHWH and to true worship.

Choose the “one thing” and grow in maturity. Cultivate zeal, strength, understanding and authority.

Call to Fast

Even as we see crisis and darkness escalating on all fronts, the Lord spoke to us that this is a season of open doors for His people to ascend into His holy hill and enter into the destiny that He has for this generation.

However, for His people to be able to ascend and enter, the Bible tells us that there are Biblical criteria that will enable us to be found worthy to stand in His presence (2 Thes. 1:11–12).

Psalm 24 is a key Scripture for this moment!

Psalm 24:4 says that it is “he who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully” who will be able to stand in His presence and receive blessing from the Lord.

In response to His Word, we are embarking on and calling the people of God to a 24-day Psalm 24 Fast to posture ourselves before Him in worship and seeking His face. We want to allow Him to deal with the uncleanness and impurity in our hearts and lives, and remove every idol and lack of integrity that is present in us.

We are approaching this fast with much sobriety and seriousness and are calling His people to do the same.

During this fast, there will be no intercession sessions at the House of Prayer.

We will focus solely on worshipping God, lifting His Name high above all others, and singing through Scripture on who He is. We believe that as we do so, He will do a work in our hearts and the fear of the Lord will return to us and His people.

We exhort all to take heed and participate in this fast in this kairos moment.

Update: In response to the leadership of the Lord, we are calling God’s people to be part of an Esther Fast from 21–23 March, which will end on the Jewish festival of Purim.

Instead of what was originally planned, there will be intercession at the House of Prayer during this fast to contend for the arising of the Esthers in this generation and for Israel.

We invite you to join us to fast and pray. You can set apart one of the days to fast from food and water for at least 12 hours (e.g. sunrise to sunset).

Corporate Discernment Word for 2024

As a House of Prayer, we gather weekly to hear God for what it is He desires to speak to us for the time ahead. As we receive from Him, we corporately discern, interpret, and put the words together at the end of each year. At the end of the year 2023, this is what we believe God is saying for the coming season.

You are standing at the threshold of the actualisation of My promises for this generation. There is coming the dawning of a new era where My glory and deep darkness will increase and escalate simultaneously (Isaiah 60:1–3). Take heed and watch for the emergence of the Harlot-Babylon as prophesied in Revelation 17 – 18. Do not be troubled but be diligent and intentional in preparing to become My Ekklesia in partnering with Me in the order of Melchizedek to advance My Kingdom and purposes here on earth.

There is emerging a people who will carry and express My glory that has never been seen before in generations past. But they must become a people who are mature, walking in purity and holiness, having clarity and understanding of My heart for Israel and plan for the End of the Age. They will carry the mantle of understanding and standing with Israel. This can only be attained through a season of preparation in My school of the Spirit — communing with Me at the Revelation 3:20 Table, equipping through the key passages of Scripture for this decade, and being empowered and transformed by the Spirit in this preparation for the times. This preparation is unto readiness and is for both young and old, for I am the God of generations.

Have I not spoken to you that this is the Revelation 3:20 Moment? Isn’t this the Preparation for the Times?

I am bringing you through a season of shifting and sifting! Trust in Me with all your heart! Trust in the process that I have ordained for you! For I am inviting you to come higher with Me.

Take heed that you do not just merely go through an institutionalised and man-made program. Because a form of godliness without power is no longer sufficient for the time that is to come. If you would trust fully in My leadership and are willing to go through the divine yet long process of preparation, I will purify, refine, transform and empower you with fire, vitality, strength, grace and authority. Only be vigilant to watch out for misaligned values, mindsets, hindrances and stumbling blocks that would seek to steal away the fullness that I have for you. Do not settle at the place of superficial knowledge but seek to go deeper into My heart!

The wind of the Spirit is about to blow. Hoist your sail so that you can catch the wind and move with the Spirit. Trust not in your own wisdom but in My leadership over you. Have a victorious mindset because I have overcome and all you have to do is take back the ground. Now is the time to not just preach “Jesus in white garments”, but also “Jesus in red garments”. Prepare yourselves to equip and school others in my Body unto becoming radical and sold out for God. Be bold and courageous, for I am with you and will authenticate your words with power.

Now is not the time to walk by sight but to walk by faith, to walk in alignment with Me, to obey all My commandments, and to be led by the Spirit. Be confident of this, that I who began the good work in you will see it unto fullness and fulfilment!

For I AM the Alpha and Omega, I AM the Beginning and the End, I AM the First and the LAST, I AM the Author and the Perfecter of the entire human storyline. Just behold and fix your eyes on Me!

The End-Time Mary and Esthers | Open Vision | 12 Dec 2023

While I was praying this morning, I heard the sounding of a trumpet. Immediately, I heard a loud voice proclaim, “Watch and pray!”

Suddenly, I saw an open vision…

In the vision, I saw 2 large clouds coming from 2 opposite directions. One was a dark and stormy cloud, while the other was full of light.

Both clouds began to collide!  

Immediately, the words “Isaiah 60 Moment” appeared just below both clouds. I knew that it was about us stepping into the Isaiah 60:1–3 prophetic moment in this decade and beyond.

Suddenly, 3 different persons began to emerge from both clouds.  

From the dark cloud, a woman emerged dressed in a purple and scarlet dress. Below this woman was a smaller cloud inscribed with “Revelation 17 & 18”.

Two women emerged from the cloud that was full of bright light. One was Mary of Bethany and the other was Esther. Below them both was a smaller cloud inscribed with 3 passages of scriptures: Psalm 18, Psalm 24 and Hebrews 4.  In my spirit, I sensed that this was the heart and mantle of the End-Time prayer movement.

Then the open vision ended with another voice proclaiming: “Do not neglect the buying of gold, white garments and eye salve!”  This is primarily from Revelation 3:18–20.

My immediate understanding of the vision is:

1. We are entering into the unique dynamics of Isaiah 60, where both light and darkness will escalate.

2. The Harlot Babylon is beginning to emerge. One of the things that the LORD has been speaking to me is to pay attention to Revelation 17–18 because it will begin to emerge by 2030.  Our focus for the 2030s is not Revelation 13 yet, but Revelation 17–18, because Revelation 17–18 will precede Revelation 13. It will be the cause for the Great Falling Away in 2 Thessalonians 3 and pave the way for the abomination of desolation.

3. The heart of Mary of Bethany and the mantle of Esther will be critical for the End-Time prayer movement and Ekklesia.  Mary was a person of One Thing. She was one who knew and understood the heart of Jesus. More importantly, she knew exactly when to act, what action to take and most importantly, not go beyond what she was supposed to (Lk 10:38–42; Jn 11:17–37; Mk 14:3–9). Esther is the Old Testament pattern of the ekklesia operating from the position of the Bride of Christ. The entire book of Esther reveals specifically how to prepare and partner with King Jesus as the End-Time prayer movement.

4. The End-Time prayer movement or Ekklesia has to be built upon John 13–17 (i.e. gold), Revelation 2–3 (i.e. white garments) and Matthew 5–7 (i.e. eye salve).
