What’s so Significant about Passover this Year? | Blog

In the midst of this 40-Day Phil 3:12 Fast that is coinciding with the Passover, Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday season, the Lord began to speak to us and directed us to the significance of this year’s Passover.

Personally, I was not very keen to embark on yet another fast, as I felt physically drained and also did not feel emotionally or mentally prepared. Even after the fast started, it took me awhile to get my heart and mind into the fast.

However, as God began to speak to us, I realised that this fast was critical, not just for certain groups in the Body of Christ, but for each and every single believer.

 

The Significance of 2020′s Passover

This year’s Passover season is linked to what happened during last year’s Passover. Due to COVID-19, a global online gathering — 2020 Global Alignment of Passover and Last Supper — took place with believers all across the world in April 2020. What was significant was that at that gathering, Arab believers pledged that they would stand with their Jewish Messianic brothers as One in Christ, in the presence of the rest of the international Gentile church.

As I read about this gathering (which has been documented in an e-book that can be downloaded here), the significance of that meeting hit my heart. I had been hearing that we were entering the “John 17 Moment”, but up till that point, it was something that I was aware of in my mind, but it never quite reached my heart.

That this event took place with nations that God has chosen to be featured majorly in His End-Time storyline (Israel and Egypt) just hammered home the truth of His Word and that God was moving the whole of human history along His timeline.

As we entered 2020, many of us as His people had high hopes and our own ideas of the “breakthroughs” that would come. Great harvests, stadium revivals, church growth etc. However, He blindsided us all; and yet, He Himself initiated us into HIS prophetic timeline, which we would have missed if not for COVID-19. It is at this point that I find my heart responding with, “Not my will, not our wills, but Yours be done Jesus.”

 

The Significance of This Year’s Passover

At the same time that God initiated the John 17 Moment last Passover, He also used COVID-19 to reveal just how lukewarm and dull the hearts of believers are. Instead of taking the divinely enforced pause to grow deeper in our spiritual walk with Christ, many of us (myself included) found ourselves bored with Jesus and His Word. The revelation of where we are at is continuing today post-Circuit Breaker, where many local believers no longer desire to return to physical gatherings at church, but instead prefer to stay at home out of convenience.

Freedom from the Laodicean Spirit

The main thing that God really wants to set His people free from in this season is the Laodicean spirit — or as we often call it, “lukewarmness” (Rev. 3:14–22). It is no coincidence that He placed it on many people’s hearts around the world to fast and start contending in this season. This season coincides with the Jewish Passover, as well as with Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. Just as God delivered the Israelites out of the bondage of Egypt, God wants to deliver His people out of the bondage of the Laodicean spirit. Just as Christ died and was resurrected, God wants to crucify our flesh so that His resurrection life can flow in the hearts of His people.

If we do not overcome the Laodicean spirit, we will not be able to enter into His promises for us in this generation, one of which He has already divinely initiated last Passover, because entering in requires our hearts to be tender, responsive and vibrant before the Lord. It is the season for us to humble ourselves, ask Holy Spirit to search our hearts and reveal to us any dullness, spiritual boredom, and lukewarmness in our hearts, and to “be zealous and repent” (Rev. 3:19).

One key is still Rev. 3:20 — to keep opening up our hearts to Him (see this previous article). This would mean willing to be vulnerable to Him and to not keep any part of our hearts away from Him. Indeed, He is a jealous and zealous God who is after our whole hearts, and it’s only when we let Him in and fully surrender ourselves to Him that our hearts will come alive with REAL and TRUE LIFE in Him.

We highly highly recommend downloading and reading the e-book. God is “reconnecting” His Gentile Church back to our Jewish roots and preparing His Bride — Jewish, Arab, Gentiles — to be fully mature at His return.

The Rev. 3:20 Moment | Prophetic Dream | 6 Apr 2021

This prophetic dream is the first part to what the Lord is speaking to us for the historic transitional decade ahead.

The second part was given in an open vision on January 6, 2022 — The Jeremiah 23:18 Hour.

The third part was given through a prophetic encounter on January 6, 2023 — The Psalm 23 Table.

 

A door was opened and I was taken in my spirit to the Table of the LORD (Songs 2:4–7) where I dined with Jesus. It was also the Revelation 3:20 Table!

(This is an invitation to whoever will zealously open the “door” of our hearts to Jesus.)

As I was at the Table, Jesus instructed me to take time to feast at His Table in order to have strength for what is to come, for this is required to enter into His invitation in this divine moment. The LORD insisted that I should pay utmost attention to LISTENING AND DIALOGUING with Him.

(Both are the keys to grow deep in the LORD: the “Isaiah 55:1–3 listening” and the “John 15 abiding”.)

Suddenly the wind of the Spirit blew on a book on the Table. A few titles came forth — Zechariah 3–4, John 14–17, Revelation 1–5, etc. It was so swift that I could not lay hold of all of them, but I knew that they were the passages of Scripture that the Holy Spirit is highlighting and emphasizing. The LORD spoke, “Come, listen carefully to Me, eat what is good, incline your ear to Me and hear! Abide in Me and let these Words abide in you!”

Then I was given a lamp that was filled with oil!

Before I realized, I was taken in the spirit and was transported with the burning and shining lamp to many places with many people. The people looked weary, weak, beaten, run-down, oppressed, etc.

(Very much like Matthew 9:35–38.)

I was instructed by the Spirit to attach the lamp onto my back. Then I led them to a grand palace with many Tables of the LORD where the people were fed. The people became strong and arose as an army in white garments, shining like stars.

Immediately I was taken in the spirit to another place but the lamp was nowhere to be found. I panicked and began to search frantically…

Then a voice spoke so clearly and distinctly with authority to me: “Kay-Chong, do not focus on the lamp on the outside. I am giving you the light now as you diligently buy oil. It is what is inside and what is internal that matters. You have to be real, deep and authentic in your walk with Me. I AM increasing the fire and the glory in you IF you would consistently and diligently sit with Me at My Table and feast with Me. I AM giving you gold, godliness and glory.

This is the Revelation 3:20 moment!

This is the Kairos moment to HEAR, to OPEN the door, to fellowship and feast with Me. You will arise as the burning and shining lamp IF you would abide! Have I not spoken, instructed and led you over the last 3 years?”

I was awakened after the loud voice declared the above.

“Arise, shine, for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.”

I woke up with these words lingering over me…

40-Day Philippians 3:12 Fast | 1 Mar – 9 Apr 2021

LAYING HOLD of God through Holy Conversation, Divine Dialogue and Sacred Assembly (Phil. 3:12–14)

We are living in a critical juncture and prophetic timeframe of human history pertaining to the End of the Age where the Holy Spirit is orchestrating something extraordinary in these critical hours of history. The LORD is inviting us to lay hold of what He has laid hold of us for in this Divine Moment!

When Mike Bickle and the IHOPKC family, in response to Lou Engle’s rally to the global Body of Christ, made a call to Houses of Prayer worldwide for a 40-day Fast (March 1 to April 9) to contend for revival and breakthrough for nations, unprecedented global harvest, and Israel (among other things), our hearts were excited and yet in our flesh, we were not very enthusiastic.

But in His kindness, the LORD stirred a deep sense of holy alarm in our spirit to recognize the importance and significance of this global fast. More than contending for revival and breakthrough (which we want), this fast is related to the coming glory of God, the future promises of God pertaining to the return of Jesus and the need to make ourselves ready for the coming historic pressures!

The Spirit of God made it clear that there is an urgent necessity to lay hold of grace, godliness, strength, and authenticity in the LORD so that we can burn and shine in the coming hours. We are awakened to the desire of God to set His Church on fire, which will result in the rising up of His prophetic witnesses in the midst of increasing global rage against the LORD and His truth (Psalm 2:1-3).

Therefore, we are saying YES to this divine interruption from life business as usual and embrace this voluntary disruption in order to posture our hearts unto the LORD to be made ready for the future involuntary disruptions that will happen in far greater measures (Matthew 24:1–14).

Holy Conversation :: Divine Dialogue :: Sacred Assembly

There will not be weekly Friday teachings during this period. We want to take time to come together as a community to have ample conversations on passages of Scriptures that the Holy Spirit is highlighting and emphasizing in this season (i.e. Matthew 24; Daniel 11–12; Isaiah 19; 60:1–3; Haggai 2:4–9; Hebrews 12:25–29; Zechariah 3–4; John 14–17).

Our desire is to give the Holy Spirit permission and space to cause our conversations to transcend into holy moments where the LORD will impart His Word and His heart unto us, which will give rise to applications and responses that cause transformation.

More than that, we want to turn the holy conversation unto divine dialogue with the LORD at the place of personal prayer so as to allow the Holy Spirit to bring forth history with God, a greater depth of godliness, and strength that will be critical in the coming hours (Joel 2:12–14).

This will be a season where we want to congregate for Sacred Assemblies (Joel 2:15-17) to lay hold of what the LORD is inviting us to in this Divine Moment.

We want to REACH FOR GOD’S FULLNESS for this season and for our generation. We refuse to be denied the fullness of His prophetic destiny. We refuse to fall short of what He has in store for us.

We are nearing the greatest revolution in human history — the eschatological revolution of Jesus. It happens only one time, one generation, and it is OUR MOMENT!

May we posture our hearts to press, to reach and to contend for what Jesus has laid hold of for us!

EMBRACE :: ENGAGE :: ENTER IN

Corporate Discernment Word for 2021

As a House of Prayer, we gather weekly to hear God for what it is He desires to speak to us for the time ahead. As we receive from Him, we corporately discern, interpret, and put the words together at the end of each year. At the end of the year 2020, this is what we believe God is saying for the coming season.

You have stepped into a new season and a new chapter in My grand storyline. This is a season of new normal — defined by greater challenges, fiercer storms, increasing darkness, unprecedented pressures, and uncertainty. Life business-as-usual will no longer be sufficient for what is to come. This new season demands insight, precision, strength and perseverance that can only be found in Me! It also requires reliance on and standing with one another. For this is the John 17 moment!

Do not fear, for I have already given you the key and the answer. Have I not prepared you for the past 17 years? Have I not spoken? Have I not led you? Be watchful, and strengthen what has become weak. Remember the promises and My Word. For I am faithful and I do not change. Therefore, what you have heard and received, hold fast and repent!

The only way forward is to embrace My storyline and engage My heart so as to enter into the new normal of Christianity. Have I not told you that I will change the understanding and expression of Christianity in one generation? Have I not invited you to be part of this grand storyline of Mine which will culminate with the return of My Son, your Beloved Bridegroom? You are stepping into the divine moment which I have orchestrated through interruption and intervention these few years, in order to bring forth My divine instruction and injection so that you may not be found disqualified to partake of this invitation!

Surely My hand is not too short nor My grace insufficient for you. For I will instruct you and I will teach you in the way you should go. I will guide you with My eye. Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you.

You have been found wanting in the past seasons. Yet it is My mercy, grace, goodness and kindness that I have exposed your lack. Have I not told you that you are not ready? Have I not told you that storm is coming? Have I not told you that there is a requirement to intentionally prepare? It is in My zeal for your fullness that I have put a pause in this unusual year so that you can reset and re-align. Have you not understood?

For I have a much higher calling and destiny for you than a mere bicycle on display in a shop — impressive in outward appearance, full of frenzy and activities but going nowhere. Do you not know who you are? Do you not remember what I have invited you unto? To be My burning and shining lamp! For it is not by chance that you are born for such a time as this! For this is a year of indictment unto invitation. For My Son, the Commander of the LORD’s army is coming with a white horse. I am inviting you to be that white horse to partner with this coming King. Just as Joshua and the nation of Israel stepped into the Jordan River to cross over, you are stepping into the divine moment of Mine!

It will not get better, but you can grow stronger, you can burn hotter, you can shine brighter! For I have invited you to arise and shine. For My glory will be risen upon you. Have I not promised that I will fill My House with My glory and the glory of the latter shall be greater than the former?

Therefore, be very diligent to ENTER into My promise by EMBRACING My storyline wholeheartedly and ENGAGING My heart intentionally!

Take heed what you hear! Take heed how you hear!

The Heart Behind the 70-Day Hosea 10:12 Daniel Fast | 1 Nov 2020 – 9 Jan 2021

2020 has been an unusual year! 2020 is not a normal year! 2020 will be remembered as the year when the world was brought to a total halt and standstill by a pandemic! Our norms of running businesses, eating out, interacting with one another etc. have been totally disrupted by the global outbreak of COVID-19. This unprecedented first-in-this-generation crisis has brought the winds of change that have shifted the entire world into a new normal!

As the Church of Jesus Christ, we have definitely not been spared this global shaking of God (Hag. 2:6–9). As the people of God, we were absolutely taken by surprise — almost no one saw this coming. Most of us were primarily found wanting as we did not have the answer to this crisis. No prophetic voice was able to make sense and give clarity to what God was saying and doing. Truth be told, we were all blindsided by the LORD through this pandemic!

COVID-19 exposed our cold, dull and hardened hearts. COVID-19 magnified our prayerlessness. COVID-19 revealed our lack of insight and clarity as the prophetic people of God. It is the LORD’s indictment of our hearts, our prayer life and the prophetic movement!

As 2020 is coming to an end with 2021 just around the corner, we are stepping into a very important season of God. Isaiah 43:18-19 says, “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

The LORD is doing a new thing. We are entering a 3- to 5-year PROPHETIC CYCLE of the Spirit, where the LORD, in His PASTORAL HEART, will bring us through a PREPARATION PROCESS, so that we will be made ready to partner with Him in His grand storyline at the End of the Age! We are truly on the verge of entering into two of the great prophetic promises for our generation: The “White Horse” Prophecy and the prophetic promise of: “I will change the understanding and expression of Christianity on the earth in one generation”!

However, we cannot and must not assume that we will enter into it automatically.

We need to EMBRACE God’s storyline intentionally and diligently. We need to say “yes” and agree with the absolute storyline of God by refusing any other storyline, including the secular narrative. We must also refuse to live life business-as-usual in these unusual hours of human history.

More than embracing God’s storyline, we need to ENGAGE God’s heart. The LORD is not looking for people who merely do things to meet requirements or out of a sense of obligation and duty. He is looking for friends of the Bridegroom who care deeply about His heart.

Finally, we need to make every effort to ENTER into God’s divine moment. There are seasons and timings of the workings of God. All of us can miss out on God’s divine moment. Hearing and saying “yes” do not equate to entering and obeying. For many have said “yes”, but not many have done it. Therefore, we need to take heed of this very Word of the LORD in this hour!

We cannot enter into this vital season with a cold and unresponsive heart. We need a tender and responsive heart before the LORD. We need the help of the Holy Spirit to fine-tune our spiritual signal-to-noise ratio so that our hearts will be sensitive and responsive to the frequency of the Holy Spirit.

To this end, I am calling for a 70-day Hosea 10:12 Daniel Fast (November 1, 2020 – January 9, 2021) to intensively and intentionally seek God for our hearts, our prayer life and for the prophetic.

This fast is about INDICTMENT UNTO INVITATION! We do not want to be passive or casual with His indictment of us, but we want to position and posture our hearts to respond to Him so that we can enter into His invitation for us for the coming season.

This fast is about JUDGMENT UNTO RESTORATION! Just as Israel was exiled to Babylon but was restored to her land after 70 years of divine discipline, we want to position and posture our hearts before the jealous, refining and holy fire of God.

We are entering crucial hours in God’s prophetic timeline. We are nearing the greatest revolution in human history — the eschatological revolution of Jesus. This will be a time where we want to RESET and RE-ALIGN. To reset simply means that we give the Holy Spirit permission to disrupt our routines so that we throw ourselves into more wholehearted love than ever before. To re-align means to refuse every other storyline but the one that He has for us because these are truly momentous days, and the best is definitely yet to come.

Just as we entered 2020 with a 3-month Hosea 10:12 Daniel Fast (October to December 2019), we want to bookend 2020 with another Hosea 10:12 Daniel Fast as we enter into 2021!

I certainly do not want to enter in with an unprepared and unready heart. It is time to seek the LORD until He comes!
